Grey is a very versatile neutral choice for many styles today. It is the base color of choice for many designers, and with good reason. Being a mix of black and white, grey is, by definition, neutral. Its character changes in varying shades allowing it to complement most styles and color palettes. When designing a room with grey painted doors, colorful accents or bold contrasting tones will beautifully breathe life into the space.
In this post, we’ll show you how to design a room in many different styles with different shades of Waypoint’s grey cabinets: Painted Harbor, Painted Ember Glaze, Duraform Stone and Painted Stone.
Fresh character
Our Fresh Character style puts you in a contemporary farmhouse setting, highlighted by monochromatic color schemes and colorful, modern accents. Our Waypoint® 650 Painted Stone door is an excellent choice for freshening up a living space. Choose a lighter wall color to contrast with the Painted Stone to create depth. Choose plants and flowers to accent the space, to add character and to keep a home looking and smelling fresh.
Timeless beauty
A lighter grey cabinet color also works very well to create a Timeless Beauty style living space. Choose a color like Waypoint® 610 Painted Stone or D12 Duraform Stone to create a room that is comfortable and rich. Complementary and contrasting patterns are a great way to lend depth and style to a space. Unique backsplashes or a patterned tile wall will show off personal taste beautifully while bringing any living space to life.
Currently cool
To achieve a style that is Currently Cool, you need to think dramatic. Choose a darker color for your walls and a light color for your cabinets, such as Waypoint® 650 Painted Harbor. You will get a dramatic look that makes those creamy grey cabinets beyond appealing. Contrasting shades of dark and light will create an impact marked by clean lines. With carefully chosen hardware and details, you’ll achieve a space that is nothing less than cool.
French beauty
Casual, comfortable and sophisticated—that’s what French Beauty means. For looks inspired by the French countryside, choose a light color for your cabinets such as Waypoint® 740 Painted Ember Glaze or 740 Painted Harbor. Keep your base light and neutral and accent with elegant hardware. Add a chandelier, a few creative patterns and some family heirlooms, and watch your living space come together.
Evolved elegance
This style is a balanced combination of yesterday’s looks and today’s latest innovations, which you can easily see in the choice of color and details. Adding a two-tone choice to your cabinets in similar but various shades of grey, such as Waypoint® 650 Painted Stone and 650 Painted Linen, lends a modern interpretation to traditional design. Add some brass or copper hardware for a bit of flair, and a light-patterned backsplash to keep your living space looking sleek and modern, yet warm.
