As leaves fall and cooler temperatures roll in, naturally we are drawn indoors. Snow days are spent curled up with hot tea and a great book. Lazy Sundays call for overstuffed sofas, homemade stew and good company. Waypoint can transform a simple fireplace into an inviting central showplace with the creative use of decorative accents, panels, fillers and moldings. Let your Waypoint designer transform your living space to enhance your lifestyle. Open shelving for books, closed-base storage for games and toys or a combination of both are just some of the many options.
In our design, the fireplace becomes the natural focal point using a combination of decorative details. Heavy molding in Painted Linen creates a custom mantel. For continuity, the same molding tops the cabinetry, naturally lifting the eye. Plinth blocks and fillers create columns to showcase the herringbone tile of the fireplace. Picture frame molding with a coordinating, paneled back elevates the television to art. The overall effect is effortlessly chic.
When considering storage—think both open and closed, balancing positive and negative space. The built-in mantel area provides ample storage for all your family fun living room needs —books, DVDs, blankets or anything else needed to escape the chaos of the outside world.
Created with void door wall cabinetry, the open storage area invites personal collections of family photos and collected treasures.
Take a minute to consider how beautiful built-in cabinetry could complement your space and lifestyle. As we transition into the cooler months, think about all the elements coming together to create the emotional connection we all crave—schedule an appointment with your Waypoint Living Spaces® designer to begin transforming your living space into exactly what you had in mind!
