Columns add architectural interest, grandeur and scale to your design, and Waypoint® has the panels, fillers, and moldings to bring your designs to life. Custom columns are perfect for foyers and entryways and can make a room more appealing and attractive.
Add columns to a large master bedroom to create a richly luxurious and elegant atmosphere or use them to cover a purely structural column. Covering a column with Waypoint® panels and moldings allows for greater aesthetic appeal and, with a few refinements, additional functions. There are as many ways to use columns to create a striking focal point and add originality to any interior as there are styles of columns. Use columns to flank a fireplace, a base display, niches, or media centers. They can anchor a kitchen island or indicate a change in floor elevation.
Two adjacent columns can become a bookcase or storage space. Including columns in your designs opens the door to endless possibilities in the creation of functional furniture pieces from cabinetry. Desks, dining room buffets, entertainment centers and others take on a new life with the addition of stylish columns. Rooms with open floor plans lend themselves to the use of columns as a means of giving much needed visual weight to fireplace mantels and built-in cabinetry. They can also be used to create an invisible wall between a kitchen and living area by extending a column from the top of the countertop to the ceiling.
